Vikram Pakrashi

Dr. Vikarm Pakrashi, Associate Professor, School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, is Director of UCD Centre for Mechanics. He is active in the field of built infrastructure systems, which are often the lifelines of our society. He is the President of Eurostruct, an EU body championing guidelines and recommendations for built infrastructure, and is a Fellow of Engineers Ireland. Vikram sits in the interdisciplinary Engineering and Computer Science-based committee of the Royal Irish Academy and represents Ireland in the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. Vikram leads the Offshore Wind strand in Science Foundation Ireland NexSys and is active in new pedagogical methods. He has a strong interest and activities in STEM+Arts = STEAM approach. He is interested in discussing new research and collaborations.
